Awakening and Transformation
Online Show June 23-26th, 2020
I created many of these paintings during the times of COVID 19. Several of these pieces were created during live painting sessions held with women around the world with the aim to bring some grounding and opportunity to express through art. The energy of these women and the times of awakening and transformation are a part of these creations. I wrote this on one of the first days of lock down in our area:
We are being called home.
We are being called to slow down.
We are being called to allow Mother Earth to heal.
We are being called to look after ourselves and each other.
We are being called to think globally.
We are being called to learn ways to deal with uncertainty.
We are being called to be patient.
We are being called to be creative and resourceful.
We are being called to tap into our inner resilience.

She is a survivor
A strong soul in this changing world

Love was here
They hold us in their wisdom

Aliveness and tiredness

Unknowns and great clarity
Connection and a deep missing of loved ones
This duality is present daily, hourly and moment to moment
I long for the greater awakening to come

She host us with her love,
Bringing ancient wisdoms,
‘We are all one,’ she whispers,
Stone, earth, fire, wind,
Bird, fish, forest, animals,
Life connected across oceans, air, and land,
One home— one family.

She is solid, holding space for the inward journey—drawing out hidden truths so balance, nourishment and tranquility can be found. She is waiting for you to seek out stillness, accept her guidance, and find your own inner knowing.
